Abstract

In this work it will be addressed the issue of singularities in space-time as described by Einstein's
theory of gravitation in connection to issues related to cosmology; more specifically we will consider the singular FLRW space-time of contemporary cosmology in relation to the issue of the beginning of time in the so-called big bang.
