Abstract
I develop and motivate an extension of the categorical equivalence programme to the full space of kinematically possible models of a theory, beginning with a problem case from first-order logic where categorical equivalence seems too weak a criterion of theoretical equivalence. This has wide-ranging implications for discussions of theoretical equivalence, and the categorical equivalence programme in particular.
