PhilSci-Archive Contact Information

Dear [Endorser’s Name],

I am preparing a submission to PhilSci-Archive (https://philsci-archive.pitt.edu) and am writing to request your endorsement. As you may know, the archive now requires that authors who are not current and former faculty, postdoctoral researchers, graduate students, or prior contributors be endorsed by an existing contributor before their submission is considered for acceptance.

An endorsement is not a review, an evaluation of quality, or an expression of agreement with the submission. It is also not a guarantee that the submission will be accepted into the archive. According to the archive’s policy (https://philsci-archive.pitt.edu/policy.html), an endorsement simply indicates that you have briefly examined the work and judged it to be relevant to the professional philosophy of science community.

If you are willing please forward this request with your statement of endorsement to the PhilSci Archive editors (philsciarchivemoderators@groups.pitt.edu) from the email address associated with your PhilSci Archive account. Your statement of endorsement need not be more than "I endorse the author below." The editors will then record the endorsement and provide validation for my future submissions.

Attached you will find a draft of my paper, titled [Title of Paper]. I have also included a brief abstract below for your reference.

[Abstract]

Thank you very much for considering this request. Please let me know if you need any further information. The archive editors also thank you for taking the time to provide this important service to the philosophy of science community.
