Abstract

Morally, the `standard story' that special relativity is locally valid in general relativity is surely correct. However, rendering the standard story precise and unambiguous has proved to be a vexed issue. In this article, we articulate and defend the standard story from an effective field theory (EFT)-inspired perspective.
