Abstract
This is a contribution to a symposium to be published in Mind and Society based on a presentation and discussions at the workshop Physics and Decisions: An Exploration (Humboldt University, Berlin, 4-6 December 2019). I briefly summarise how quantum mechanics and decoherence illuminate some questions of reduction and emergence, with particular reference to Everett worlds, classical behaviour, and the Born rule.
